Our Story
Unchained Hearts was born from the lived experience and a simple but powerful belief: people are more than their mistakes. Too often, justice-impacted individuals return home with the will to change but without the tools, support, or opportunity to make that change last. The result? Doors remain closed, families struggle, and the cycle repeats.
We exist to break those cycles.
At Unchained Hearts, we walk beside people as they take the brave step into a new chapter. We provide not only workforce training, but also childcare support, transportation, legal aid, and mental health resources because we know a job alone isn't enough. A life rebuilt requires stability, dignity, and community.

Currently operating in Jackson, Harrison, and Hancock counties, serving hundreds through long and short-term programs.

To create a future where every Mississippian impacted by the justice system has the tools and opportunities to succeed. Our vision is to expand Unchained Hearts programming across the entire state, so that individuals in every county can access second chances, meaningful careers, and pathways to stability.
